National Hat Day
SUMMARY: As long as I'm talking about matters of great global import--
Just found out what today is: National Hat Day!(And, sorry, miscalculated my focus so all these are fuzzy. Need to get that replacement remote control!)

If your hat collection is this extensive, does that mean your shoe collection is even bigger? Or have you shunned shoes to instead purchase hats?
I shun shoes for chapeaux.
I'm not even going to ask why or where you got some of those great hats! The girls are so grudgingly posing for you! Very cool pictures!
You didn't ask, but I'll tell you anyway: Cal Band, Cost Plus (I think), Jay Ward (producer of Dudley Doright etc. while on a Cal Band trip), flea market, gift from sister-in-law, after-Halloween sale (Payless or Longs or such), garage sale, don't remember, Disneyland, Disneyland, Disneyland, garage sale, Mervyns or similar, probably gift from parents, after-Halloween sale, flea market, graduation, and the berets: Navy blue, a friend in high school ordered several so a group of us could wander around the school looking different; the other two, Mervyns I think (or similar) bought specifically for dogs for purposes such as this.
And why? Because I always wanted a lot of cool hats! Easy to make a Halloween (or whatever) costume around them, and they're fun to look at, and this is the first time I've ever felt I really made good use of most of them. (The witch's hat doesn't stand up straight any more, need to fix that. Didn't bother with a couple of straw beachcomber hats or the cheap top hat or the blue "swiss" hat whose feather disintegrated years ago, hmmm, a few others, and I cmopletely forgot about my Mickey Mouse ears because they're not in the same room, or you can be sure I'd have included them.
And it doesn't include any of the hats that I might actually wear in real life. Hmmm, now I'm thinking I need to do a reshoot with *all* hats and in focus this time! Maybe for next year's National Hat Day.

TLAPD has been in my calendar for a while now, and NHD has already joined it.
